The Acquisition of Erudition: Book IX 'OMG WTF Does The Constitution Actually Say?...'

Updated: May 8, 2021

The United States' founding documents are the lifeblood of civil & human rights. In any given land, the people are a breathing testament to humanity's capacity to survive & thrive. Similarly, The Constitution has metamorphosed throughout the centuries following its inception.

Throughout differing vicissitudes, the needs of this country have evolved. Despite vacillations, this document has retained its essence. What is the crux? Guaranteeing that to which every American citizen is duly entitled: Life, Love, and Liberty; Property, The Pursuit of Happiness.

Did you know, Article I: Section II of the constitution outlines the metrics & parameters of the census? For those more secularly-minded, the census was established as early as the 18th and 19th centuries. A more canonical form of the census can be found in The Book of Exodus (1512 B.C.E.). Exodus 30: 11- 16 shows this being executed by Moses to quantify the Israelites. Veritably, the census's efficacy stands whether assayed from a political, jurisprudential, executive, or ecclesiastical purview.

The nineteenth (19th [XIX] ) amendment was ratified on August 18th, 1920. Without the provision above, woman's suffrage would have ne'er been attained. The twenty-second (22nd [XXII] ) amendment was ratified on February 27th, 1951. It demarcated the length to which any given presidential candidate could serve in office.

As sentient beings, we must fully fathom the legacy of our inalienable rights. When we do, we benefit more holistically from the liberties provided by our predecessors. We are still efflorescing as a society; therefore, remember much work needs to be done. Do your part to ensure the future freedoms of those still encumbered by mankind's & womankind's limited foresight.
